I’m still in the process of growing out a short haircut (which was almost two years ago…) into long, looong locks. As washing hair daily becomes not only almost unmanageable but even not healthy for the scalp, I’m looking into the whole dry shampoo thing to be able to better alternate washes and here are some options being considered…

CatWalk Tigi Session Series Dry Shampoo

Klorane oat dry shampoo

René Furterer dry shampoo

Tigi Rockaholic Dirty Secret dry shampoo

These are all apparently very effective in absorbing oils, smell amazing, and people have been raving about them all over the Internet, but they’re quite pricey and I’d like to get the best bang for my buck, as some would say… Have any of you tried any of them? Any other recommendations to look into? xo

I just couldn’t help myself. I loved these when I saw them back in October at Bimba y Lola, but decided to wait it out till the sales… If they weren’t there anymore, I thought, it wasn’t meant to be.

Well, here they are, 60% off! As the saying goes (in Spanish), I feel like a little girl with new brand new shoes.

We’ve never really celebrated the arrival of the Three Wise Men at home, except for the traditional roscón. For the past few years this has slowly changed, with maybe a book or a pretty scarf under the tree. This time Santa and the Wise Men have apparently divided their job quite evenly, and this is what appeared…

Love it!

It’s cold and a bit rainy out, so a prolonged stay-in seemed to be in order for both of us… and I’m not complaining! Next week it’ll be back to a full schedule.

Even if indoors, I can’t help but wear new stuff around the house, especially if it’s shoes we’re talking about. I don’t usually care all that much for boots, whether long or short, but my mom was right about these lovelies. They’re also available in black, and are such a steal! (not that I’d know… err… thanks Mom!)

Sales are coming (Saturday!), but I think I’ll try to avoid temptation… Do you have anything in mind? xo

Still have a few days off (sort of) and this week’s going to be a little different… It feels like I’ve moved from home, if only to another one, for the remainder of Christmas vacation. While he crams for grueling exams at the library, for today I’ve slept in (a little?), read some, and ran some errands in a not-so-foreign neighborhood (important stuff, I know)

apologies for the never-ending phone pics with tons of distractions in the background

I love to tuck the front of this oversized cardigan but not the back, although it’s nice all tucked in, too. Or just simply adding a belt to emphasize the waist. Versatile it is, although I’m still not all that confident about the black-navy blue combo… Limited options call for desperate pairings, I guess!

Off to make lunch! Hope you have a great Tuesday xo

Happy New Year to all of you out there!! Hope you had an awesome NYE and Day, not too much of a hangover and a list of resolutions ready for the opening year (reasonable AND outrageous, of course!)

I hope 2012 keeps me right where I am, in a sense, and takes me up up and away in others! I cannot wish anything more than happiness, health and contentment for you, and to see where fashion leads us!
